In 2012, Arfaaz Kagalwala, the drummer of Bombay based alternative band, Slow Down Clown came over to share a few tracks the band had been recording. I resonated deeply with Stupid Sea at first listen, and narrated the visuals that came to mind as I was listening to it.

A few days later Fuzzy called back and said the band wanted me to direct the video. On a shoestring, we shot guerrilla in the Mumbai suburb of Bandra. I cast my friend, the versatile actress Lucky Vakharia as the clown. An old collaborator, she played the lead in my NID diploma film as well.
