In March 2013, I was offered to make a film for Ms. Vasundhara Raje’s election campaign. At that time, Ms. Raje was campaigning hard to become Chief Minister of the state of Rajasthan, a post she’d formerly held.

Spending weeks traveling through Rajasthan to get an understanding of the people and the general mindset laid the groundwork of creating the story… A poetic take on essentially a political film, it was pumped across state television network and screened on portable projectors in villages that didn’t have access to electricity.

Ms. Raje won with a landslide.
